+ How can I inquire about a custom cake?

Click on our Custom Cakes page for information on ordering a custom cake. We specialize in wedding cakes, birthday cakes, bridal shower cakes, baby shower cakes, engagement cakes and many more. Feel free to look through our Instagram @tastecreme for any design inspiration. You may also provide us with any photo inspirations by emailing us at orders@tastecreme.com. After the details of your event is confirmed, an invoice will be sent to you. Your order will be confirmed once payment is processed. For orders made within 2 weeks of cake due date or for orders under $100, full payment would be due upon receipt of invoice. For orders made significantly in advance, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, with full payment due 2 weeks prior to your event.

+ How far in advance should I place my Custom Cake order?

We recommend submitting a Custom Cake Inquiry Form at least 2 weeks in advance. Occasionally, we may have same-week availabilities. Please e-mail orders@tastecreme.com to inquire about availability.

+ What if I want to change, cancel or reschedule my order?

Any major changes requested within 3 days of the cake due date may incur a fee. Due to materials cost and allotting our time for your order, orders cancelled within 1 week of the cake due date will only be refunded 50% of the order total. Orders cancelled within 2 weeks of the cake due date will be refunded 75% of the order total, or can be credited the full amount for any future orders. If you need to reschedule your event, please let us know at least 2 weeks prior to your event date.

+ Can I schedule a cake tasting?

Absolutely! We have cake tastings for $35 where you get an assortment of 4 mini cakes in the flavors of your choice.

+ Do you deliver?

Yes! We deliver within New York City, upstate NY, Long Island and New Jersey. Delivery fees depend on distance and location. Please email us at orders@tastecreme.com to discuss a custom price for your delivery. You can also arrange your own Uber courier. Once your Uber arrives, we'll place your securely packaged goodies in the car.

+ How should I care for my cakes?

Cakes are packaged with care to ensure minimal movement during transport. We are not responsible for any damage to your cake once it is in your hands. Keep the cake cool during transportation. We recommend resting the cake on the floor of your car with the AC on. Please keep your cake refrigerated until ready to be displayed or served. If you opt to pick up an extended height cake, please drive carefully with no sudden accelerations or brakes.

Custom Cakes can be displayed for 2 to 4 hours in a cool room or cool weather outdoors.

We recommend removing your petite and naked cakes from the fridge 15 to 30 minutes prior to serving for the best texture. For any boba cakes we recommend keeping the boba separate from the cake and at room temperature until ready to serve and pour over the cake.

+ Cake Cutting: Extended Height Cakes

To make cutting a tall cake easier, there is a cake board in the middle of our extended height cake to make two layers of servings. Simply cut into the cake until your knife is against the cake board, which is halfway down the height of the cake. After serving the top half of the cake, remove the board and parchment paper and serve the bottom half. There will be dowels/straws that help give the cake support. Be sure to remove them before serving.

+ Are the floral decorations edible?

All floral decorations and toppers are not meant to be eaten. Although all flowers are washed and sanitized before applied to any of our products, we suggest removing any floral decorations before serving.
